My Vases

This exhibit is the product of an exciting period of artistic growth and change for me, and it combines three distinct mediums I love and have worked with at various points throughout my life: ceramics, digital art, and floral arrangement.

The journey began over 20 years ago and finally came to fruition this year, sparked by a local floral arranging class. Learning about floral art forms took me back to my art student days, reigniting my passion for creativity. Inspired by this, I decided to create unique ceramic pieces to complement my floral arrangements. To make this vision a reality, I re-immersed myself in ceramics, rediscovering a path I had put aside years ago. Through this exploration, I found a new voice that blends floral arrangements, ceramics, and digital art, three mediums that I have joyfully learned (and relearned) throughout the past year.

The yearlong process of creating these pieces reconnected me with, and provided healing for, my younger self—the art student who once felt lost, searching, and stumbling through New York City, trying to find her true calling. I hope this showcase inspires anyone who is a seeker, and reminds them it is never too late to explore new paths or revisit old ones.

[This exhibition is dedicated to someone very special, who has been with me throughout the journey. I hope that I have met your expectations and become even more than what you had hoped for.]
